High Street keeps adding flavor. Two new dining destinations are taking shape along Moorpark's downtown spine, and the city's $2.8 million streetscape makeover is giving them a freshly revamped stage.
Ridley's Place Wine Bar opens at 165 E. High Street, bringing owner Doug Ridley's art-nouveau-inspired space to the heart of downtown. The wine bar joins a growing cluster of independent operators choosing High Street for their next chapter.
A few doors down, The District on High is moving forward at 313 High Street. The Planning Commission cleared the project on December 16, paving the way for three food stations to share a single, family-friendly venue behind the existing Luna Llena and Boba's Cuz storefronts.
Backing all of it is the city's High Street improvement project. New sidewalks, lighting, and pedestrian features are turning the corridor into a true downtown destination — the kind of street people walk for fun, not just out of habit.
Why it matters: every new opening, every upgraded block, builds the case that Moorpark's downtown is becoming a place people choose. The momentum is real, and the next ribbon-cutting is already on the way.
