Moorpark's Spring Lineup Brings the City Together

Spring brings Moorpark together. The city's calendar fills with festivals, concerts, and family events that draw neighbors out of their homes and into the parks, the zoo, and the streets that define the community.

The lineup opens with Earth Day at the Zoo on April 18, an annual favorite at America's Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College. Families wander among the animals while learning about conservation, sustainability, and the work of the next generation of zookeepers.

Then comes the Apricot Festival on May 9, a tribute to the orchards that once defined the valley. Vendors, food, and live music transform the festival grounds into a celebration of Moorpark's agricultural roots and small-town spirit.

Summer rolls in with Concerts in the Park, the city's free outdoor music series. The 2025 lineup brings live bands to Arroyo Vista Community Park on June 27, July 25, and August 22 — three Friday nights of blankets, picnics, and shared songs under the open sky.

Why it matters: every event is a chance to gather. As Moorpark grows, these traditions keep the community close, give families something to look forward to, and remind everyone why they choose to call this city home.
